Many owner operators have to make due with a single piece of equipment. Canadian Measurement- Metrology Inc. has the right tools for any job, leave it to us. The following is a list of the services we provide:

• Part Inspection Using Drawing or CAD Model Data: We have the ability to measure complex parts using drawings (GD&T) or CAD model Data. We then provide a comprehensive, easy to understand inspection report with a detailed roadmap.
• Checking Fixtures and Gauge Calibration and Certification: Variable or attribute checking fixtures need to be verified and certified before they are used in production. Gauges and checking fixtures need to be verified annually, at CMM, we are able to certify your tooling to ISO/IEC 17025standards.
• Tooling inspection: Pre production tooling inspection and tool rework verification is provided
• PPAP. Full Dimensional Inspection: The production part approval process (PPAP) is a requirement of automobile Manufacturers, and their suppliers. This process must be completed prior to starting of production.
• First Article Inspection: Prior to the commencement of production a batch of parts are measured, verifying that the process meets specification and is in control.
• SPC Capability Studies: By analyzing the measurement data statistically we are able to determine the viability of your process, and understand if the processes capable. Our fast turnaround time enables us to respond quickly and efficiently with easily understood data in order that your manufacturing is able to continue unabated.
• Prototype Inspection: Communicate design ideas accurately and efficiently by utilizing actual 3-D CAD models produced by state-of-the-art laser scanners and white light systems. CMM has the capability to reproduce a prototype model for your CAD system or provide an inspection report. We can help you bring products to the market faster and more efficiently.
• 2-D and 3-D scanning and digitizing: 3-D scanning, which is also referred to as 3-D digitizing is the utilization of a three-dimensional data acquisition device to acquire a cloud of XYZ coordinates on the surface of a physical object. Typical formats for point cloud data are either an ASCII text file containing the XYZ values for each point, or STL which is a polygonal mesh representation of the point cloud. Whether sectioning, forming a two-dimensional scan, or full 3-D models. We are able to utilize the following technologies: full tactile contact scanning (SP 25/Leitz) probe heads or laser scanners; Perceptron V5/Metris cross scanner on our coordinate measuring machines.
• Reverse Engineering: This refers to the method for creating a 3-D virtual model of an existing physical part, for use in either a 3-D CAD CAM CAE or other software. First, we scan the component with a laser or white light system, then the point cloud data is exported into a usable format such as a triangular mesh NURBS surfaces or native CAD format. Canadian Measurement - Metrology is an expert in this field and can perform this work at our facility, or with our portable systems at your plant.
• Contract Programming: We are able to write software programs for your coordinate measuring machineWe can write them off-line We don't have to be at your facility!. Most customers who use this service find their coordinate measuring machine is the bottleneck in the quality process. Instead of purchasing an additional machine they are able to alleviate the existing problems by outsourcing the programming. Additionally, because we are programmers, we can generally write, complex part programs in less time.
• Customized Reporting and Graphic Analysis: We are able to provide reporting and analysis documents in any format. By using "Data Guru "we are able to duplicate any report layout. Furthermore, our graphical analysis software allows us to provide you with full colour pictorial representations of your parts, complete with tolerances and or statistical information.
• Training: We are able to provide on-site practical training on all aspects of coordinate measuring machine programming and part Inspection. Additionally, we provide training programs on laser trackers, portable arms and vision systems. Applications support is also another large part of our training venue, many times our customers understand the software, but they don't have the experience in complex part measurement procedures.
• Staffing: Are you buried in work? Is your CMM operator on holidayor have they left for another job? Irrespective of the reason we provide full or part-time personnel to fit your inspection needs.
• Disputes: It does happen, many times your customer does not accept the part you have manufactured and measured!
